The article talks about the missing plane. It has been weeks since the plane disappeared mysteriously. Search crews have now found something that might be tied to the lost plane. A Chinese boat picked up two pulses. This could be the new lead to the discovery of the plane.
I connect to this article because I have been following this plane ever since its disappearance. This relates to my history class because we are talking about inventions right now. In a few years this plane will be in history books and the FAA will change its rules to prevent this from repeating.
I feel that search crews have took to long to find the plane. If there were any survivors, it will be difficult for them to survive this long since the plane's disappearance. I will now be worry when I aboard an airplane, hopefully the FAA will crack down on its rules and regulations

The author uses headings by listing out the possibilities vs the doubts of finding the plane. The author listed four reasons to believe, one example is
"1) The frequency doesn't occur in nature.
The Chinese Haixun 01 patrol ship detected pulses at a frequency of 37.5 kHz, the Chinese state-run Xinhua news agency reported. That's the same frequency of black box pingers -- and that frequency is no accident. The pingers were designed to have that frequency because it does not occur in nature."
The author has divided the outcomes up; he uses six reasons to doubt the pulses. The author states
"6) The underwater search of a vast area started only recently.
The search area is so large, and the underwater search has just begun. It almost defies belief that the pingers could be found so soon. But then again, almost everything about this case defies belief." By the author using headings for the pros and cons of the pulses he lets the reader make up his own mind. The author enables the reader to make its own assumption of the article instead of trying to pursue a point of view.
