Family wants the detective who shot their kid in jail. Family says that there was there cops at the scene and he was only armed with a screw driver, There was no need to kill him. Cops say they are required to make instant decisions in situations like that and that was the best one.
I think the cops done the right thing here. The family says they overreacted, but if that is true than why did they call the cops in the first place?
According to POL 111 once the police was called in it was up to the police man to decide what was best for everyone's safety. We can see that there is not much to argue here, police man have been trained to make decisions like this one.
I believe the right thing was done here, if he wasn't a treat then why call the cops. This article is just mixed emotions about losing a family member. We can all learn to make wise decisions when it comes to things like this. For the family members and the police, wise decisions needed to be executed.
The central point of this article was to inform the reader of a shooting that seem to be unnecessary, and police brutality. According to family members there was more then one agency, "It may be notable, too, that the three officers who responded all came from different agencies." After the detective came in family members heard him say "(He) walks in the room, walks around the corner, (and) says, 'We don't have time for this. Tase that kid now. Let's get him out of here.'"

You are right. A kid with a screwdriver is not likely to cause much harm had the police calmly confiscated the weapon and not shot him. However you are missing punctuation marks. For example when you state "According to POL 111 once the police was called in it was up to the police man to decide what was best for everyone's safety," there should be a comma after 111 and after police, instead of "was," it should be "were." Be careful and look for those. Overall, good information.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a very interesting article and I believe that a kid with only a screwdriver does not deserve to get shot. I do not believe that the cops should have been called if he was not a large threat to any one in his surroundings. I noticed some errors and spaces when there were compound words. You also have some missing letters and a couple spelling errors here and there. Other than that, it was great to hear your opinion and the article you chose.
